Burlesque Dance Classes in Kitchener

Theatrical, playful movement rooted in self-expression, for every level.

Who burlesque classes are for

First-time dancers

You can walk in with zero dance background. The instructor paces the choreography so anyone in the room can follow along and leave with something they're proud of.

Anyone building confidence

Burlesque is about performance presence and character, not wardrobe. It's an affirming, judgment-free space to try something new and feel good doing it.

Dancers wanting artistry

If you already dance in other styles, burlesque adds theatrical flair, character work, and stage presence that carries over into everything else you do.

Adults of any age

Our adult classes welcome every age and background. Everyone is learning together, and the room is set up to be supportive, not competitive.

What to expect in a burlesque class

Burlesque classes at Kollective are built around performance presence, character, and theatrical flair. It's about artistry, not wardrobe. Expect a fun, affirming class that helps you build confidence and learn how to hold a room through charisma and expression.

Each class starts with a warm-up focused on posture and presence, then moves into choreography broken down piece by piece. The instructor works with you at your pace, so whether it's your first class or your fiftieth, you'll leave with a combination you can actually perform.

This is a beginner-friendly style. No prior dance experience is expected, and there's no pressure to perform for anyone outside the room.

What students say

The first thing I noticed about classes at Kollective was how welcoming of an atmosphere Kezea created. At my previous dance studios it felt like nobody really cared, but at Kollective if I'm not there people will notice (in a good way!). It's a wonderful safe space from all the toxicity and competition often found in other studios.

Kezea is one of the most creative, patient, and dedicated people I’ve ever met. Her passion for dance is absolutely contagious, and her teaching style strikes the perfect balance between challenging and fun. She has an incredible gift for pushing you out of your comfort zone while still building on your pre-existing strengths. Every class with her will challenge you in the best way possible. Even after moving an hour away, I still made the trip to attend her classes — I simply couldn’t get enough.
