Wedding Dance Lessons in Kitchener

First dance choreography, bridal party routines, and confidence coaching — designed around your song, your style, and your timeline.

What we can do for your wedding

First dance choreography

We build a full choreographed first dance around your chosen song, adapted to your comfort level. No experience needed.

Couple’s confidence coaching

Not sure if you want choreography? We can help you feel relaxed and natural on the dance floor without any formal routine — just timing, connection, and confidence.

Bridal party performance

Surprise routines, flash mobs, and planned group dances are all welcome. We can choreograph and coach a group of any size.

Parent dances

Father-daughter, mother-son, or any other special dance — we create something meaningful, elegant, and perfectly matched to the song.

How it works

  1. 1

    Contact us with your details

Your wedding date, song choice, and what you have in mind. The sooner the better — we book up, especially in spring and summer.

  2. 2

    First session

We learn your comfort level, choose a direction, and start building the core of the choreography. You leave with something you can practise.

  3. 3

    Follow-up sessions

We refine and polish. Each session builds on the last. By the final session, you run the whole thing with confidence.

  4. 4

    Dance at your wedding

You show up prepared, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the moment. Your guests will remember it.

What students say about our instructors

The first thing I noticed about classes at Kollective was how welcoming of an atmosphere Kezea created. At my previous dance studios it felt like nobody really cared, but at Kollective if I'm not there people will notice (in a good way!). It's a wonderful safe space from all the toxicity and competition often found in other studios.

Kezea is one of the most encouraging dance teachers I’ve ever had! Not only is she your biggest cheerleader for dance, but a great friend. She provides structured and fair feedback for both individual and group dances with positive encouragement. Her support has been a big part of my dancing journey! Similar to her story, I started dancing from home with the help of Kpop dance practice videos on YouTube. Therefore, she is one of my biggest idols to become an excellent dancer!!

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking at least 6–8 weeks before your wedding for a first dance. This gives time for multiple sessions to build the choreography, polish it, and run it with confidence.
Do you choreograph the whole song?
We can choreograph the full song or a shorter edited version — whichever fits your vision and comfort level. We’ll discuss options in the first session.
What if we have no dance experience?
Perfect — most couples who book wedding lessons have little or no dance background. We build choreography to your skill level and make it feel natural, not forced.
Can you help with a group performance?
Yes. Bridal party flash mobs, parent dances, and surprise group routines are all things we’ve coached. Contact us with the details and we’ll build a plan.
What styles work for a first dance?
We can work in any style that fits your song — waltz, bachata, hip-hop, contemporary, or a custom hybrid. We’ll recommend what suits the music and what you’ll both enjoy.
Where are lessons held?
At our studio: 259 King Street West, Unit 203, Kitchener, ON N2G 1B1. We’re in downtown Kitchener, second floor.
